What Are Q-lon Gaskets?

At Three Counties, our uPVC windows are sold with Q-Lon gaskets. These gaskets will give you peace of mind when it comes to weatherproofing your home and limiting the amount of outside noise coming indoors.

Q-lon Gaskets (Q-Lon Seals)

Q-Lon gaskets are made from polyurethane foam, giving the gasket high durability and 99% compression recovery. This core is then coated in weather and UV resistant film, which is also compatible with cleaning agents. Rest assured, these gaskets will be able to withstand a lot – promising protection against temperatures as low as -20°c and as high as 70°c.

Lasting Quality

The 99% retention mentioned above allows for the gasket to keep its shape. Often, windows can lose some of their weatherproofing ability due to the gasket losing its shape and allowing in draughts and water, as well as the ability to soundproof as originally. We have just had all our windows (18) replaced, french doors (20 and side panels (2) by Three Counties. We could not be more pleased with their workmanship and the finished product. They left the property incredibly clean after each day, and this despite the messy nature of ripping out old windows and frames.
