Choose from our wide range of energy-efficient windows and doors, with the choice of uPVC, Aluminium or timber double glazing that all offer improved energy performance. Always look out for the ‘Window Energy Rating’ label that will look similar to these other electrical appliances. Ratings start from a ‘G’ (for poor energy performance) through to the best performing ‘A’ rated energy windows.
What makes our double glazing ‘A-rated’?

We ensure we use the best materials on the market for our double glazing, including industry-leading Pilkington glass. Our energy-saving UPVC windows are multi-chambered, and our aluminium frames have thermal breaks to conserve heat, while our timber frames insulate naturally. So no matter what your choice of window is, you can be confident that we’re providing an energy-efficient solution.
Get 40% more energy efficient with triple glazing
We are also proud to offer triple glazing as an option with all of our windows. Triple-glazed windows are 40% more effective than A-rated double-glazing so if you choose triple glazing for your replacement windows, you will be getting a fantastic level of energy efficiency.
How do you measure the energy efficiency of a window?
A number of different factors will contribute to the energy efficiency of a window. At Three Counties we use Pilkington glass as standard because we know that we are using a trusted product that will improve the efficiency of your home.
The Window Energy Rating (WER) ranges from G to A and more people are now looking for A-rated efficiency when choosing their replacement windows. Factors that are taken into consideration include the total solar transmittance, how much air can pass through the window seals and how well heat is retained by the glass – all these factors combined will contribute to the window’s overall rating.
